Musta (Cyperus rotundas) is a species of sedge native to Africa, southern and central Europe, and southern Asia. Musta is a perennial herb that looks like grass and is commonly considered as a weed across India. This plant loves water and can always be found located close to rivers. The part of the plant used is its small and aromatic tuber which grows underground. The tubers of this plant are able to survive extreme conditions because they have the ability to remain dormant underground for many years.
