What is Gotu kola?
Centella asiatica, commonly referred to as Gotu kola, is a swamp plant that grows naturally in India and South Africa. It is also called ‘Mandukparni’ in Ayurveda. Currently, many cultures across Asia and Africa use Gotu kola leaves in their culinary preparations, such as in soups, salads or in a wide variety of beverages. Centella leaves are also used in modern sweet "pennywort" drinks and herbal teas.
