What is Castor Leaf?
Castor root, seeds, and leaves are extensively used in Ayurveda, both externally and internally. The castor oil plant has large leaves that are 15-45 centimetres long. They are long-stalked and palmate with 5-12 deep toothed lobes. The seed (not a bean) yields castor oil. Botanically Castor oil plant is known as 'Ricinus communis'.
