What is Bhringraj?
Bhringraj, also known as Eclipta Alba, is a herb that has been used throughout India for centuries. The plant Bhringraj is widespread in different parts of the world. The plant grows as a weed in temperate to the tropical region and can grow up to 40cm high. The root of the plant is grey and cylindrical. The flowers are 6-8mm in diameter. The branches are reddish-brown and hairy. The dry fruit is formed when two carpels fuse. The flowering stalk grows from the axis of the leaf. It is hot and bitter in taste.
